A North Carolina based corporation, CAUSwave develops and licenses energy and propulsion technology. Based upon a naturally occurring phenomenon, CAUSwave technology harnesses the versatility of compressed air potential energy and converts it to kinetic energy and then electricity.
Electric vehicles driven by CAUSwave generators powered by compressed air.
CAUSwave technology facilitates
sustainable electricity storage and generation
The kinetic energy produced by CAUSwave will replace dependence
on fossil fueled launches.
Based upon newly adapted laws of physics, CAUSwave, Inc. has developed a revolutionary energy conversion technology.
The CAUSwave technology is a revolutionary
energy conversion discovery that will lead
to new, sustainable and non-polluting sources of electricity and propulsion.
CAUSwave's technology uses compressed air in conjunction with granular material to
create powerful kinetic energy. This kinetic energy can be used to create electrical energy or to propel projectiles.
CAUSwave has assembled an experienced Management Team and Board of Advisors.

"Our problem isn’'t producing energy, our problem is storing energy." Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer
Separate CAUSwave patents (provisional, non-provisional, and/or PCT International) have been filed for the energy, propulsion, and CAUSwave vehicle technologies.
As part of the patent process, an extensive patentability search was conducted by a professional research firm. The final report from the research firm proves the CAUSwave technology is unique; no similar technologies were found.
"Renewable energy is proven technology, the price is dropping, the rest of the world is going that
way, that's where our investment should be going as well." Bob Brown, Australian Politician
CAUSwave is a revolutionary technology, converting the potential energy of compressed air into kinetic energy. This kinetic energy can be used to drive generators, create clean pollution free electricity or provide the thrust required to launch rockets and missiles.
The CAUSwave technology utilizes a chamber holding loosely packed granular material. Highly compressed air is introduced to the chamber and then released, instantly generating kinetic energy. The resulting kinetic energy produces very little heat and is pollution free.
The CAUSwave electric generator has almost no moving parts and yields a total system efficiency exceeding existing technologies.
"We've embarked on the beginning of the last days of the age of oil. Embrace the future and recognize the growing demand for a wide range of fuels or ignore reality and slowly but surely be left behind." Mike Bowlin, Chairman and CEO of BP
CAUSwave will revolutionize the automotive industry with its
new vehicles. CAUSwave vehicles will be pollution free, lightweight,
efficient, reliable and inexpensive.
CAUSwave vehicles will be powered by electric motors and
controllers. Unlike most current alternative fuel vehicles, CAUSwave
vehicles will not need heavy and inefficient storage batteries.
CAUSwave will use compressed air to generate electricity using an
on-board CAUSwave generator that will have no mechanical moving
parts other than air valves. The light weight yet powerful CAUSwave
generator's efficiency will greatly exceed other technologies.
The electric motors that will be used in CAUSwave vehicles will
provide high torque across the full power curve. The electric motors
will produce very little vibration or noise while often achieving unmatched
energy conversion efficiencies. Due to their elegantly simplistic and
rugged design, the electric motors and controllers will require
infrequent maintenance that will be easy and inexpensive.
CAUSwave vehicles will be lighter and cost less to manufacture
because they will not need an internal combustion engine, cooling system,
fuel tank, ignition system, catalytic converter, muffler or transmission.
CAUSwave Vehicles "Clean energy production isn't just a matter of environmental protection. It's also vital to
homeland security and to ensuring sustained economic growth." Governor Edward Rendell, Pennsylvania
CAUSwave technology will allow projectiles to be launched
without fossil fuels.
CAUSwave launches will have significant advantages over
conventional launches:
• Low cost
• Low logistical train
• Maximum flexibility with back-to-back launches from the same facility
• Cost-effective launches
• Greater safety - no explosive propellants
• Greater reliability and less complexity
• No environmental impact
• Little or no recoil

velocities are provided to the right.
"Alternative energy is a future idea whose time is past. Renewable energy is a future
idea whose time has come."Bill Penden, "Atlas World Press Review," April 1977
CAUSwave's "game changing" generators usher in a new era for the production of pollution free electricity. Air can be compressed from any primary source: solar, wind, peak or off-peak grid, fossil fuels, etc. The compressed air then runs a CAUSwave generator with no mechanical moving parts except air valves resulting in efficiency exceeding all existing technologies. CAUSwave technology is scalable and can be used for both centralized and decentralized applications.
“Our problem isn’'t producing energy, our problem is storing energy. Batteries and plug-in hybrid technology can solve that. Here’s how: The average American drives less than 40 miles a day. With current transmission capacity and battery technology we could fuel 84% of our driving with electricity if people owned plug-in hybrids. That’s energy that will never be controlled by the petro dictators.” Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer
There are two existing large scale industrial examples of compressed air energy storage used to produce electricity. Both use fuel burning turbines as the means of generating electricity with compressed air used to maximize the combustion
efficiency. The turbines currently in use at these facilities are
25-30% efficient while CAUSwave generator efficiency
is projected to be approximately 70%+.
The McIntosh Power Plant in Alabama has been producing electric power during peak demand since 1991. Another 290 Megawatt plant in Hundorf, Germany, has been in operation since 1978. The following diagram prepared by the Department of Energy Sandia National Laboratory illustrates how compressed air is currently being used to produce electricity.
"Ultimately, I believe -- because energy is so central to our lives -- that a common global project to rewire the world with clean energy could be the first step on a path to global peace and global democracy -- even in today's deeply troubled world." Ross Gelbspan, American writer
